In this workshop you will become familiar with…

1)  translatability assessment methods to ensure that survey instruments are appropriate for translation into other languages and for use in multicultural contexts

2)  the steps of a rigorous translation methodology (ex: the one used by the PROMIS®, FACIT, Neuro-QoL and NIH Toolbox measurement systems)

3)  the purpose of cognitive debriefing in linguistic validation and cultural adaptation, and how to conduct it.
